About your Therapists
Hi, I’m Tina
Throughout my adolescence and adult years, it has been my mission to bring back a sense of self-worth. I have always been drawn to professions that assist to bring back the light to dark situations and have worked with children, teenagers, young adults, adults in general as well as the elderly.
I have had a roller-coaster ride within my own life experiences and know how it feels to be betrayed, ridiculed, made to feel unworthy of all I could be and have experienced great loss and sadness. Life finds a way to present new opportunities when the time is right and I am filled with so much gratitude that this is the field I was meant to embark upon. It is like being a time-traveller where we can explore our past, always revisit our present self and imagine possibilities in our future selves. I view counselling as if our mind is like a garden, where we can pull out the weeds of negative thoughts and patterns of behaviour, so as healthier new growth can be developed.
My goal as a Counsellor and an Arts Psychotherapist is to assist my clients to gain a quality of life that is enriched with possibilities and to embrace change with more clarity, confidence and mindfulness.
It is my intention for you to gain a sense of worth, feel valued and heard. Narrative and Creative therapy is an invitation only to explore the hurt or embodied feelings at hand through mapping, collage, journaling, and home practices.
All this occurs in the software of your choosing via Zoom, Phone or Facetime. On-line therapy creates a platform for you to decide the setting whether that is the comfort of your own home or somewhere safe that offers a sense of tranquillity and calmness.
Our sessions will always centre around your needs in the present moment.
