About your Therapists

Hi, I’m Tina

I was born in Brighton Sussex, England being the youngest in my family with three siblings. As a child, I was creative and imaginative. Migrating to Australia with my family, from a child’s perspective was a magical adventure on a cruise ship, where I imagined mermaids in the ocean and being a pirate sailing the seas. I would look up at the moon and believed I was special as it followed me. As my roots were Eastern and being exposed to a Western way of living, I had the best from both ways of being.

Living in Australia however, was hard. I soon discovered I was not as special as I believed as a child. I missed my friends and snow in winter times. My school days are not my fondest memories. At times I felt rejected and ridiculed and stripped of any self-esteem. Throughout my adolescence and adult years, it has been my mission to bring back a sense of self-worth. I have always been drawn to professions that assist to bring back the light to dark situations and have worked with children, teenagers, young adults, adults in general as well as the elderly.

I have had a roller-coaster ride within my own life experiences and know how it feels to be betrayed, ridiculed, rejected, made to feel unworthy of all I could be and have experienced great loss and sadness. Life finds a way to present new opportunities when the time is right and I am filled with so much gratitude that this is the field I was meant to embark upon. It is like being a time-traveller where we can explore our past, always revisit our present self and imagine possibilities in our future selves. I am passionate about Art Therapy and throughout my experience, I have witnessed the healing qualities it possesses.

My goal as a Therapist is to assist my clients of all ages to gain a quality of life that is enriched with possibilities and to embrace change with more confidence and mindfulness. It is my intention for you to gain a sense of worth, feel valued and heard, and explore these feelings together one step at a time through engagement with creative experiences on offer. These are centred around your own interests, and what is resonating with you in the present moment, while we discover and clarify the issues at hand in a safe and therapeutic environment.
