“The service provided at Embracing Change Therapies is not only insightful and extremely professionally delivered; but also individually geared to the client. Tina shows enormous creativity and dedication to her craft making her clients feel highly considered and prioritised.”

Dominic

Psychotherapist

“Tina has worked with both our Kinder teaching team and children during what has been a very tough year. We had a number of children in our class with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.

Her activities and therapies catered for the whole class, while giving those who needed it most the tools to build on their capacity.

Our teachers and educators gained knowledge of how they could better facilitate and implement a program that catered to the needs of the children. They came away from her time with us with a greater understanding and with practical in class examples.

I highly recommend Tina to be part of your School Readiness Funded Program.”

Tamika

Director Cardinia Lakes Early Learning Centre

“Tina of Embracing Change Therapies was so supportive while running her Art Therapy program in our kinder room at our Early Learning Centre. She recognised the individual needs of our children and engaged them in creative experiences to build self-esteem, confidence and self-regulation skills. Through a beautiful combination of Art Therapy and Tina’s kind and caring nature, our children gained so much. Tina worked hard to build relationships with each individual child and really get to know their strengths and needs.

Tina was so supportive of us as staff and checked in with us too to make sure our own coping strategies and mental health were in check during the pandemic as she recognised if we weren’t at our best, we couldn’t give the children our best. Tina was such an asset to our room with some families choosing to continue in after our program ended. We can’t thank you enough Tina and look forward to having you work with us and our kinder children again soon.”

“Being bi-lingual, Tina has helped me with my self-esteem and assisted me to find new ways of coping with my emotional stress. Over my time with Tina, she has always made me feel heard and valued. I would recommend Tina to anyone who wants to help themselves and live the life they are supposed to live.

My self care journey to becoming a better version of myself and welcoming change could not have been easier. Tina’s kind and empathic nature always made our sessions a very safe place for me.

I gained a new perspective on so many things that had been causing me grief over the years and incorporating reiki healing was a great addition to my sessions.

Each session has brought me insight that truly made a difference in my journey to better mental/emotional health.

I would urge anyone who is dealing with emotional pain to make that initial appointment as soon as possible. Thank you Tina and Honey

“Embracing Change Therapies has helped me completely change my outlook on life. I had been battling with severe stress and anxiety for a year until I actually began to seek professional help and seeking Tina was the best decision I ever made.

Tina holds a safe and gentle space that allows me to feel comfortable to express myself in. As well as expression through art opened my eyes and has allowed me to get to know myself in another form than just words.

I’m blessed to have Tina to guide me through life and see my blind spots.”

“Having never had an art therapy session before. I wasn't sure what to expect, but Tina was so warm and friendly she immediately put me at ease. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I gained from the session. Not only did it lead to more self-awareness and deeper insight and understanding of myself, but I also gained new perspectives and more clarity on the issue at hand. As a bonus, it was also fun to unleash my creative side and I really enjoyed that side of it.

I found Tina to be caring, compassionate and an insightful therapist. I felt supported in exploring my emotions through the process, and was able to gain genuine insight and clarity.

Art therapy is such a gentle profound process, that allows us to connect to and release our emotions in a safe and supportive way. I would highly recommend a session with Tina.”

“Working with Tina, I noted the gently supportive approach with which she assisted my process of gaining self knowledge. She generates a warm and safe space within her consulting rooms, allowing me the confidence to share my inner thoughts in this visually creative manner. Being able to draw, paint and collage symbol images of my feelings, helped me gain a deeper understanding of the underlying motives with which I behave as I do. She worked with me in a non intrusive, subtle way doing this. As a result, I have achieved many wise insights over time. The choices since made in moving through my life, became much more positive and fulfilling. It was comforting not needing to talk as much, rather letting the images convey my meaning. I have no hesitation in recommending Tina as a skilled, highly knowledgeable, sensitive, professional Arts Psychotherapist and greatly respected colleague.”

“Tina is a vibrant, caring therapist who helps you intuitively explore your inner feelings and thoughts. She will be with you throughout your journey, encouraging gently whilst building a lovely rapport.

I would highly recommend from my experience, anyone who is seeking a safe environment to engage in your creativity, self-reflection and find some new clarity.”

“I have to admit that it was an eye-opening experience with arts therapy with Tina. I did not know what to expect as I do not consider myself as an artist in any shape or form.
But by the end of the session, I felt that the drawing and art that I did in the session opened up my mind to look at who I am in the world, how I relate to immediate family members, colleagues at work, the community I live in and the world at large. The drawings I made certainly will not be fading in my mind soon. If you want to experience something new and imaginative, consider arts therapy, you will be surprised.”

Michael

I saw Tina for around 15 weeks after struggling to cope with lockdown, and problems that had arisen from my life.

This type of experience was extremely helpful as it wasn’t like the typical psychologist who asks you questions, then you answer them. She taught me that I could express the way I felt through artwork, whether it be drawing, painting or even listening to music. I’ve learnt so much, not only about myself but about the people around me, through Tina. I’m grateful to have taken the first step into this experience as it has helped me through my journey of life. She has always let me know that I am valid, and that I am welcome to ask for any help from her. Tina is a wonderful therapist, and mostly importantly, helped me move forward.

“Having a reserved, inquisitive, adventurous 4 year old that loves to engage in activities keeps parents on their toes. But there has been lots of difference in Chizy's character after he started his art therapy with Tina on Thursdays; it strengthened his mind with lots of ideas, arts and culture even boosting his confidence in teaching us what he learnt that day from the session when he comes home.
He came home one day with colourful buttons from one of Tina's art class therapy and tells me it will brighten up his room if he leaves them on the windows, "the sun will shine on them to light up his room". Due to the current situation, I wasn't able to meet or thank Tina personally but I would definitely recommend Tina's Art therapy because of the positive changes it has had on my son.”

“My daughter has really benefited from Tina’s Art Therapy sessions at Kinder. She would come home telling me about the things she created or activities they did. I can see that they have benefited her in finding ways to express herself and also to help her regulate her emotions. This has helped her also find ways to navigate her personal grief. I recommend Art Therapy for all Kinders.”
